“In an industry that’s constantly changing, we should always be willing to teach as well as learn. No matter how much you know, there’s always more, and advancements take shape through collaboration.”

As Smith + Andersen's lead for transit and transportation projects in Toronto, Shawn’s portfolio includes multi-modal transit hubs, subway lines, subway and bus stations, emergency generator projects, and heritage transit facilities. Over his sixteen-year career, Shawn has completed projects for organizations such as Metrolinx, Infrastructure Ontario, and TTC. Whether he’s working on a city-wide public transit expansion project or an award-winning signal tower, he builds trust through his wealth of experience. His team members are also frequently impressed with Shawn himself, particularly his collaborative nature and ability to forge strong relationships. Shawn isn’t satisfied until he’s certain both client and contractor are impressed with the end product of his designs.
