Front of the class.
This project involved audio-visual upgrades for York University’s Osgoode School of Business Professional Development Centre. The spaces receiving the upgrades include a 100 seat, 52 seat, and 40 seat classrooms, two smaller classrooms, and a lounge / event space spanning an entire floor of Osgoode Hall. The 100-seat classroom hall includes space to host a panel with multiple participants.
The Smith + Andersen audio-visual team was engaged directly by the University, and collaborated with the Osgoode AV team to design an audio-visual platform that allows instructors to present to both local and virtual students with full-production capabilities for streaming and video capture.
Instructors can leverage high-quality web streaming capabilities in each classroom (with an operator option for the three larger classrooms). Our team also designed an audio-visual platform that would enhance the existing options with present-day technology, allowing the Osgood Hall technical team to leverage their existing knowledge when operating the new system.
