Smith + Andersen provided mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and sustainability services for the new Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning, on the campus of the University of Manitoba.

Footprint provided energy modelling services, in collaboration with the design team, during the design stage of the project. They evaluated the energy performance of the institutional building relative to the National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB) 2011, and their energy model determined 40 per cent energy reduction compared to the NECB 2011 reference building.
