Work and live in the beltline.

Located in the Beltline district of Calgary, Keynote Urban Village is the largest mixed-use high-rise development outside city’s downtown core. It consists of two contemporary residential towers (26 and 34 storeys, consisting of approximately 415 suites), a first class 14-storey office tower, a retail podium, and a parkade. A +15 garden connects all three buildings.

Smith + Andersen provided mechanical engineering services for the project, designing an independent central heating and chilled water plant for each tower.

A closer look.

In the office tower, typical floors are served by chilled water compartment units located in the core, with hot water radiant panels at the perimeter. A chilled water re-claim loop has been provided on the ventilation air system to reduce energy usage by pre-heating outside air when heating, and increasing chiller efficiencies when cooling is required.

In the residential towers, all suites are provided with chilled water fan coil units with hot water perimeter heating.
