Meeting the standards.

In accordance with Harry Rosen standards, the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system design utilizes fully concealed air supply infrastructure from a centrally controlled terminal unit system. Particular attention was given to the integration of the mechanical infrastructure with high-end finishes to create a seamless and coherent look across all areas of the store, while providing exceptional comfort. The tailor shop, with dedicated exhaust and steam boiler installation, allows for on-site pressing and alterations to service the store’s clientele.

LED-ing the brand.

This location was the first Harry Rosen store designed with complete LED lighting in Toronto. Smith + Andersen worked alongside the client in assisting with the selection of fixtures that would successfully meet all current code requirements. A new lighting control system, which would be rolled out in all new stores across Canada, was introduced for the store and provides ease of use for the store. A dedicated electrical service was engineered in coordination with the landlord and tie-in to their existing system ensuring the client’s power requirements were met. Design of the new tailor shop, located on site, required a great deal of coordination with the client and mechanical systems to ensure all equipment was sufficiently powered.
