Cara Foods Headquarters

Cara Foods Headquarters is a two-storey building which incorporated an open concept ground floor with large windows surrounding the perimeter. It obtained LEED Gold status by focusing on energy efficiency and maximizing space comfort. It houses the Cara Operations Head Quarters, Call Centre, Training Centre, and Research & Development departments.

The mechanical systems used a packaged boiler penthouse design which was integrated on the roof. Packaged mechanical rooftop systems served each quadrant of the building. Energy recovery systems were used on all systems. A unique single pipe heating system with cascading temperatures was incorporated to obtain maximum efficiencies at the boilers. There was a large kitchen component which was completed as a fit up. The building was certified LEED Gold.
