Seton Professional Centre is a new, three-storey, class A medical and health service office building located in south Calgary. Adjacent to the South Calgary Health Centre, the addition of this facility will help provide a ""town centre"" with various services for residents in one area. The LEED® Silver targeted building will house radiology, dental, and health clinics, and offers two levels of below-grade parking for approximately 200 cars.
Designed by Gibbs Gage Architects.
Each office wing has a mechanical plant located in the 4th floor mechanical penthouse comprising of central variable speed air handling units complete with outside air economizers to allow for free cooling, forced draft boilers with variable speed pumping and an air cooled chilled water loop with variable speed pumping. The typical office floors are ventilated and cooled via the centralized air handling units located in the penthouse and heated with perimeter radiant panels. Direct digital controls are utilized for the control of the variable air volume boxes and perimeter heating control valves.
The mechanical systems are designed to provide maximum flexibility, where possible, to accommodate future tenant improvements. The design also provides existing tenants the ability to adjust their heating and cooling demands based on their individual operating schedules.
