Grasett Park

Designed by Denegri Bessai Studio Architecture & Design
Rendering by Office of Adrian Phiffer

To be constructed at Adelaide and Widmer Streets, Grasett Park is a memorial to honor Dr. George Grasett and his Canadian colleagues for the sacrifices made for accommodating Irish famine victims and refugees. The base of the park will act as a map, displaying the city's harbour as it was during their arrival into Toronto. Custom made structural glass panels with printed cloth patterns are illuminated with LED technology to glow at night time.
