Rogers Centre Videoboard Control Room

Designed by Modo Creative

This fast-tracked project involved the removal and replacement of the building's control centre. As the work had to be completed during the Toronto Blue Jays' off-season, the timeline was accelerated. Smith + Andersen ensured that code was met within this small, unique space.

S + A Services Included:

A normal power supply has been added to the space to cover common loads. An uninterruptible power supply (UPS) provides for all critical loads to help protect equipment. Two-level lighting is now available, with track lighting utilized whenever the control room is in broadcast mode to minimize light spillage into the stadium. Standard high-efficiency 2'x2' fluorescent lighting is available for maintenance and office use during non-event programming. A complex cable management system accommodates large amounts of communication cabling feeding multiple racks and controls boards throughout the space. A full grounding system ensures that no electronic feedback on audiovisual equipment occurs.
