Towering experience.

For Karen, being an experienced mechanical engineer means looking beyond just the mechanical perspective. An effective mechanical engineer will analyze the impact of a wide range of design decisions, including architectural aesthetics, to help inform and improve mechanical solutions. Karen is known for actively applying this perspective, making a point to understand the unique needs of all stakeholders on a project. She gains great satisfaction seeing building occupants experience new environments that a project team has created for them – both on day one and decades later.

While Karen specializes in multi-unit residential buildings, particularly tall (40+ storeys) and multi-tower projects, her portfolio highlights nearly 20 years of highly sustainable and practical mechanical solutions across a variety of market sectors. In addition, she enjoys passing on her knowledge as a mentor to the young engineers she works with. Karen is a member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
