Nautilus, the fourth phase of the Monarch Waterview project on Palace Pier, is comprised of a single 37-storey tower and a central podium containing both retail and recreational spaces. Beneath the complex are five levels of parking partially constructed below the adjoining street. There are approximately 430 suites in the entire phase.
A heat pump system heats and cools the suites and also serves the pool and amenity spaces. Indoor water-cooled make-up air units provide the corridor supply air for ventilation. A separate domestic hot water boiler plant provides increased efficiency to the overall boiler plant for all months of operation. Mechanical systems support multi-tenant retail spaces, offering both efficiency and flexibility.
Efficient lighting and fully-monitored fire, smoke, and heat detectors are provided within suites. Occupants have remote control access to the resident underground parking garage, along with card access from underground parking to the elevator lobby and main and secondary entrances. There is closed-circuit television (CCTV) coverage, monitored from the concierge desk, at all exterior doors from the common areas and amenities.
The enterphone system for the main and visitor entrances allows in-suite monitoring through a TV cable. Category 5 cable wiring is provided for future connection to internet/fax/e-mail.
