The Munro Ltd. project features an addition to its pre-cast concrete production facilities located near Barrie, Ontario. Due to a high level of automation, the plant is able to reduce product cost and lead-time while improving quality.
The facility hosts a variety of innovative production equipment. Notable examples include concrete batching plant, twin station 144VUP machine, vertical ring off-bearing and cleaning (VROC) machine and spigot grinder.
The concrete batching plant is capable of producing over 2000 metric tonnes per day.
A new high voltage electrical system was needed for supporting the new automation equipment. Precise coordination with the equipment supplier required detailed layouts and customized power supply systems.
