Durham Consolidated Courthouse

Description:

Kleinfeldt Mychajlowycz Architects Inc. were the Planning, Design and Compliance Architects for Durham Consolidated Courthouse responsible for the project outline specifications (PSOS).

WZMH Architects were the architects to the Design, Build, Finance and Maintain consortium responsible for the design as constructed and are the Architects of Record.

Smith + Andersen were the engineers representing the owners. The Durham Consolidated Courthouse project specified high expectations for energy requirement - expectations which were surpassed by the design/construction team. The project achieved LEED Gold Certification with an overall energy target of at least 38% improvement over the Model National Energy Code (MNECB). The project was delivered under the Government of Ontario's Infrastructure Ontario Alternative Finance Program.
