Designed by Gibbs Gage Architects
Located in Calgary's Beltline district, this project consisted of a renovation to convert the 100 year old, four-storey heritage building into the head offices for the Calgary Board of Education (CBE). The project has achieved LEED Silver Certification.
Indoor building conditions are maintained through the use of heating/cooling fan coil units, with chilled water and heating produced through the high-efficiency chiller and boiler plant located in the adjacent CBE conference centre. Building ventilation is provided by a make-up air unit equipped with a heat recovery wheel to preheat outdoor air in the winter.
