This project involves the new development of 202,000 sq.ft. of Apache Canada's new office space. The office space includes new enclosed offices, a new yoga facility on the ground floor, an entire floor dedicated to conference and meeting rooms, and a critical server room.
With the addition of a new yoga facility on the ground floor, Smith + Andersen was able to provide a solution to design a new make-up air system to suit outdoor air code requirements, as well as occupant comfort. Apache Canada's objective for their main server room is to implement a mechanical cooling system that is able to maintain room temperatures within close tolerances. To satisfy those requirements, a precision cooling system has been designed which includes self-contained row-based cooling units connected to the base building tenant condenser water loop. The units are also designed with redundancy for future requirements.
